Membaca lagi surat-suratmu
Hatiku jatuh rindu
Tak sadar pada langit kamarku
Kulukis kau di situ
Waktu yang berlalu
dan jarak masih saja terentang
Penamu bicara …

Menembus ruang menyapa sukmaku
Mendesak lembut angin membawa
Butiran hati lara
Ternyata meraih kesempatan
Tak semudah kusangka

Kau setia menunggu (mu)
Lelaki kecil menantang hidup
Kau sertakan doa …
Seolah mantra menjelma nafasmu

Memendam tanya seg’ra terucap,
Belahan Jiwa apa kabarmu?
Kuharap selalu tetap kau jaga
Tumbuhan cinta yang di ladang kita

Aku jauh di sini menggapai cinta
Hingga suatu saat nanti ku kan kembali
Kan kujemput dikau sang putri
Pada saatnya nanti
Berkereta kencana kubawa pergi
Tuju istana di sana kubertahta

Ki_mum_small_1

[dedicated to my most beloved
twin angels]

Di bayang wajahmu
Kutemukan kasih dan hidup
Yang lama lelah aku cari
Di masa lalu

Kau datang padaku
Kau tawarkan hati nan lugu
Selalu mencoba mengerti
Hasrat dalam diri

Kau mainkan untukku
Sebuah lagu tentang negri di awan

Di mana kedamaian menjadi istananya

Dan kini tengah kau bawa
Aku menuju ke sana

Ternyata hatimu
Penuh dengan bahasa kasih
Yang terungkapkan dengan pasti
Dalam suka dan sedih

[miss u my little angel]

Ohh…di kedalaman tidurmu

Kau tersenyum lugu

Hmm…mendekap damai dan tak berdosa

Ku..belai gelombang rambutmu

Menitipkan kasih sayang

Semoga berlimpah ruah bahagia

Kita reguk bersama

Tidurlah tidur bidadari kecilku

Setelah lelah kau bermain

Mimpikan dirimu dalam istana

Menari (lincah dan bernyanyi merdu) penuh suka

Dan kukecup lembut keningmu

Rasa haru luluh jua

Jangan dulu terjaga sampai pagi tiba

Menjemput hari

Tidurlah tidur bintang kesayanganku

Bersinar menerangi sukma

Engkaulah juga yang jadi alasan

Hingga kupacu semangat hidup menyimpan harapan

Kelak satu saat nanti kau beranjak dewasa

Pilihlah jalan lurus nan murni tempatmu melangkah

Menuju cita mengenggam asa

Kau tentukan warna tuk hidupmu

Sejak dari mula lebih baik kau jaga langkah

Berbekal waspada

Setelah bersama

Friday, July 20th, 2007

Sebelum bersama
Sebelum mengucap ikrar bersama
Biasanya kita berjanji
Biasanya kita meminta janji
"setelah nanti aku kan berubah"
"setelah nanti aku kan menjadi seperti yang kau inginkan"
"setelah nanti kau seyogyanya begini - semestinya begitu - ubah perangai ini- tambah sifat itu"

Saat telah berikrar - setelah bersama
Janji tertagih
Saat telah berikrar dua menjadi satu
Janji diburu

Menunggu perubahan itu

[ Manusia diciptakan dengan keunikannya
Maka berhentilah menghakimi, mulailah mencintai
Karena perbedaan itulah inti dari kebersamaan ]

Ikhlas …

Memberi

Friday, July 20th, 2007

Memberi …
Hmm… kadang kata ini menjadi pilihan terakhir tindakan kita
Karena …
Memberi adalah kehilangan, memberi adalah pengorbanan, memberi adalah …

Lihat di mana-mana orang sibuk meminta
Rumah dirobohkan supaya dapat meminta
Tandatangan di kontrak supaya dapat meminta
Mulut berbusa bicara supaya dapat meminta

Peluit di pinggir jalan supaya dapat meminta

Dan seterusnya supaya dapat meminta

….

Tapi tunggu…
Engkau tak kan hidup selamanya

Tidakkah ini yang lebih baik …
Memberi ???
Karena

Sejatinya
milikmu adalah apa yang kau berikan
bukan apa yang kau simpan

A poem by Khalil Gibran

ON Friendship

And a youth said, "Speak to us of Friendship."

Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.

For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.
When your friend speaks his mind you fear not the "nay" in your own mind, nor do you withhold the "ay."
And when he is silent your heart ceases not to listen to his heart;

For without words, in friendship, all thoughts, all desires, all expectations are born and shared, with joy that is unacclaimed.
When you part from your friend, you grieve not;

For that which you love most in him may be clearer in his absence, as the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plain.
And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit.

For love that seeks aught but the disclosure of its own mystery is not love but a net cast forth: and only the unprofitable is caught.
And let your best be for your friend.
If he must know the ebb of your tide, let him know its flood also.

For what is your friend that you should seek him with hours to kill?
Seek him always with hours to live.

For it is his to fill your need, but not your emptiness.
And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures.

For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.

Baratha Yuda - the great battle

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Today is the last day of the Baratha Yudha
The great infamous battle among Barathas
The dawn … and the end…

On the top of the hill, Arjuna speaks to his brother Khrisna - The Visnhu
"Brother we won this battle, what’s our next endeavor?"
"Arjuna, there is only one way for the man who has reached the summit - STEPPING DOWN"

A Poem by General McArthur

Friday, April 20th, 2007

Build Me a Son (*)
General Douglas A. MacArthur

Build me a son, O Lord,
who will be strong enough to know when he is weak,
and brave enough to face him self when he is afraid;
one who will be proud and unbending in honest defeat,
and humble and gentle in victory.

Build me a son whose wishbone will not be
where his backbone should be;
a son who will know Thee- and that
to know himself is the foundation stone of knowledge.

Lead him, I pray, not in the path of ease and comfort,
but under the stress and spur of difficulties and challenge.
Here, let him learn to stand up in the storm;
here, let him team compassion for those who fall.

Build me a son whose heart will be clear, whose goals will be high;
a son who will master himself before he seeks to master other men;
one who will learn to laugh, yet never forget how to weep;
one who will reach into the future, yet never forget the past.

And after all these things are his,
add, I pray, enough of a sense of humor,
so that he may always be serious,
yet never take himself too seriously.

Give him humility, so that he may always remember
the simplicity of true greatness,
the open mind of true wisdom,
the meekness of true strength.

Then I, his father, will dare to whisper,
"I have not lived in vain."

(*) Boed’s note:

Off course the very same poem is also relevant to address (a) daughters.
